SaaS discovery,joined to delivery in Jira.
We join Jira Product Discovery, Jira and Confluence into one flow from customer insight to release, for SaaS product teams, so the roadmap, the sprints and the dates you give the CEO all tell the same story.
How do I connect Jira Product Discovery to delivery?
Capture insights in Jira Product Discovery, link them to ideas, and score ideas against goals. When an idea is committed, create its delivery epic in Jira and keep the link, so the roadmap shows delivery progress and every release can be traced back to the insight that started it.
Two teams to five
Did you ever double the engineering team to ship faster, and then watch it ship less?
Eighteen months ago you had two teams. Everyone knew everything. Planning was a whiteboard and a coffee.
Now there are five teams, and every one of them runs Jira a little differently. One uses story points, one doesn’t. One has a “blocked” status, the other four just leave a comment. So when the board asks how the quarter is going, there’s no report that means anything. You build one by hand, on Sunday.
Dependencies don’t show up at planning. They show up at the sprint review, when team three explains it couldn’t start because team one hasn’t finished the API. Team one didn’t know team three was waiting.
Meanwhile product lives in slides. Somebody bought Jira Product Discovery, and one product manager loves it. Everyone else still asks “why are we building this?” and gets an answer from the last loud customer call.
And every month the CEO asks for dates. You give some. You know they’re guesses. You spend the rest of the month defending them.

What’s actually going on
You didn’t hire the wrong people.
You scaled the team without scaling the flow. What worked when everyone sat in one room, everyone talking to everyone, quietly stopped working as you grew, and nothing replaced it.
The same people, one flow
Imagine the next quarterly planning.
The roadmap comes out of Jira Product Discovery: ideas scored on real customer insights from support, sales and usage, so “why are we building this?” has an answer with evidence attached.
Each idea in “now” is linked to its epics in Jira, so the roadmap shows real progress, not a status somebody typed.
Five teams, one way of using Jira that they agreed on. Cross-team dependencies are links you can see before the sprint starts, not surprises at the review.
When the CEO asks for dates, you give them for what’s actually planned, with confidence. For everything else, you explain the problem you’re solving and why. Nobody has to defend a guess.
No SAFe. No big consultancy. A setup sized for your company, in the Jira, Jira Product Discovery and Confluence you already pay for.

What we set up in Jira Product Discovery, Jira and Confluence
Customer insights from support, sales and usage linked to ideas and scored on criteria your team agreed. A now, next, later roadmap built from them. Delivery epics linked back, so progress shows on the roadmap. One Jira setup the teams agree with, work-in-progress limits, dependency views across teams, and dashboards your exec team can read without a meeting.

- A quarterly commitment slippedA flagship release is late, and nobody can say with confidence what the next quarter will deliver.
- The team count doubledTwo teams became five, a reorganization is planned, and the way of working that fit one team no longer fits five.
- A new CPO or CTO arrivesThey want a clean operating model and reporting they can trust, before the next board meeting or funding round.
- A Jira change is comingA Jira consolidation, a Cloud migration or a Jira Product Discovery roll-out: the right moment to set the flow up once, properly.
Not another framework roll-out
We don’t impose SAFe from the top or bring a big-consultancy team. We set up one flow from discovery to delivery that your teams agree with, keep each team’s autonomy where it works, and add only the cross-team planning your company needs, not an enterprise framework.

How we work with SaaS teams.
The same five stages, shaped around discovery and delivery.
Flywheel
Your flow from insight to release mapped; where work stalls, ranked.
Discovery, roadmap and delivery designed as one flow; one feature traced live.
Jira Product Discovery, Jira and Confluence set up; your teams trained.
Automation, dependency views and Rovo agents once the flow is in use.
A health review each quarter, or before a big release.
- Then back to Teardown when the product or team changes.
A first engagement usually starts with Teardown, a fixed-scope look at how your work flows today. Scope agreed on the review call.
Find out where your flow breaks, in six minutes
You don’t need a reorg to find out where your flow breaks. You need six minutes.
The SaaS Discovery-to-Delivery Check asks 18 questions about how ideas move from customer to release in your company today. Your score shows right away, area by area, with no email needed to see it.
You’ll find out:
- whether customer evidence actually reaches your roadmap, or stops in a support ticket;
- where cross-team dependencies hide until the sprint review;
- whether your teams’ Jira setups can produce one report anyone believes;
- how your AI features are tested before they ship, and whether anyone can tell which change made them better or worse.

Questions SaaS teams ask
Do we need Jira Plans, or is the timeline enough?
The timeline in a Jira space is enough for one team’s epics, but it only shows “Blocks” dependencies within that space. Once several teams share a roadmap and depend on each other’s work, Plans (in Jira Premium and Enterprise) shows cross-team dependencies, capacity and dates in one view.
How do I manage cross-team dependencies in Jira?
Link dependent work with “is blocked by” across spaces, review the links before each sprint, and show them in Plans or a dependency dashboard, so blocks surface at planning, not halfway through the sprint.
How should product teams manage AI features on a Kanban board?
Give AI features their own evaluation step on the board, between build and release, with clear criteria for what good enough means. Limit work in progress so evaluation isn't skipped when a release is close.
Do we need SAFe to scale to five or more teams?
Usually not. A shared Jira setup, one roadmap in Jira Product Discovery, a regular cross-team planning session and visible dependencies cover most of what SAFe is meant to solve, with far less overhead. Add structure when a real problem asks for it, not before.
